The memorial for Cuzzin Brad has also been posted on The Wave's website. I also noticed that Barb Thomas is back on 103.1 from 7 PM-Midnight every weeknight except Wednesday. Rest in Peace, CB. You provided me with a lot of laughs and humor over the years, especially your "celebrity weather forecasts" on Unforgettable 1430 KLO. Chet Tapp ended his show on Friday morning with some words about his friend of 30 years. He also stated that they were planning an event in memorial for CB. I believe we will get the details on this next week.

The two threads on this topic have been combined. That's a shame. I'm sure it's more upsetting to his fans since it was unexpected. Thank you sir.

103.1 The Wave just posted on their facebook page that one of their DJ's, Cuzzin' Brad, unexpectedly passed away yesterday (June 30th).
I've been a big fan of CB's work for quite some time. Every Sunday night I tuned into his Unrest on the Seventh Day show featuring punk, industrial and gothic music.
Rest in peace.

I gave up on Rush a dozen years ago. When I heard him say that "Obama wants to make America better. I hope he fails.", I knew I was listening to a bag of hot air. Of course, we excuse such nonsense by calling them "entertainers". That's like calling the Capitol rioters "tour guides". I had a similar epiphany with Glen Beck 10+ years ago. He was hyping up some big news out of Phoenix, talking about how it was going to be really bad. But we will talk about it right after hearing a commercial about Apples to Apples. I remember turning off the talk radio and limiting my listening to the lot soon after. Keeping on topic, I was wondering what was going to happen with the time slot. I agree that they should have had some better planning since they knew his medical condition was terminal. Had his passing been sudden and unexpected, I could understand. But this has just been a disaster. I turned in a few times just to see what was happening. I didn't stick around.

Nextstar Media (who runs KTVX Ch 4 and KUCW Ch 30) just announced a new digital sub-channel that will launch on September 1st. Rewind TV will air shows from the 80's and 90's. www.nexstar.tv/nexstar-media-inc-to-launch-rewind-tv-on-september-1/I wonder if we will see this network on one of the sub channels for 4 or 30? As long as I don't lose MeTV or H&I I'm good.

Interesting. Rewind 100.7 was in my top three behind 103.1 The Wave and 103.5 The Arrow so I'll be interested to see what the switch will be.
Will the switch happen at midnight Saturday (going into Sunday)?

Wish I would have known that earlier. I was wondering if my antenna needed to be adjusted so I was moving it around and re-scanning.

The "Your Classic Alternative" line has been playing for a while now. I don't know why Cuzzin Brad was moved to weekends, but he is still with the station. My understanding is that CB now has a day job Monday-Friday, and is therefore only available to work weekends at The Wave. Interesting, I was not aware of that.

They must have more than one bumper. Today I paid attention to one that came up and it only had KLO. But it was part of a larger bumper.
Then I just heard the bumper for 7:00pm Sunday (just before Unrest on the Seventh Day) and it had KLO FM in the bumper.

It happened. The callsign changes went into effect Nov 3. 1430 is now officially KMES and 103.1 is now officially KLO-FM. Was The Wave using the full KLO-FM callsign or did they say just KLO? I'm wondering if they'll drop the -FM suffix now that the root callsign is available. The only other outstanding piece was the online stream. The stream linked to from the website seems completely unavailable. When I had noticed it, I recall "KLO". I don't remember hearing "FM", but I may have been so use to hearing "FM" that I may have not have noticed it. Been busy this past few days so I'll try to pay attention during my next radio session.
