I suspect that they mean "BIC's Salt Lake corporate staff will go with Hubbard", since it is much smaller than in the past, and provides support services for many of those stations. I'll have to ask someone upstairs.

But. like I said in the park analogy, selling a station to another broadcaster doesn't take the channel out of the broadcast inventory. It can still be used for TV or radio by a subsequent buyer. The FCC proposes letting the current occupant sell it off permanently.

Since the broadcasters do not own the spectrum they are currently licensed to (as a "Public Trustee, as the FCC calls it), how can they possibly sell it?
Wouldn't this be sort of like allowing whoever is sitting in a public park to sell it to a real estate developer....permanently taking the park out of potential public use in the future?

No telling what might have been going on with KBYU that early in the morning. They are playing with it...they had 720p HD on 11-2 and 11-3 yesterday afternoon, but back to 480i right now, across the board. They might have had PSIP messed up (experimenting).

....... Cell started out in the 800 MHz band and then moved to 1.9 GHz, so why they want to move back down is beyond me. The whole thing is just insane..... Cellular had to move because they were interfering with the 800 MHz Police and Fire frequencies, due to the high power base stations they use. They'd love to go back to the 700-800 MHz bands. Guess they hope to find a magic "fix" for the interference.

The little dish is a down-link for the Trinity (TBN) feed on channel 18.

Probably going to ignore it and hope it goes away...just like the media is doing. Be interesting to see if it even makes the news on Tuesday morning. Probably be preempted by news of a "new and innovative" iPhone app, or a new game on Facebook.
Aaaa...it was only TV.

They blew up their final (amplifier), and are running on the IPA (Intermediate Power Amp) only. The power is about 10% right now. Bob spent Thanksgiving Day up there working on it.

They went off on Wednesday afternoon. They are back now. I think they only have a single-cabinet transmitter (one amplifier).
