I spent some time looking up the ownership and several FCC rulings on what they seem to be doing.

If they are licensed to Wendover, why do they want to move to the east side of the oquirrs? If it's to squeeze in a vhf channel in the Salt Lake Valley, aren't there a couple of channels on Farnsworth that are hanging (KSVN's spare channel, and I think there are a couple more on 9 and 12)?

Just saw a post by Donald Trump, taking credit for the SuperBowl, and warning Taylor Swift and the other performers that they would be nothing without him.

I fail to understand the logic of the FCC considering that having the porch light on is the same as being on the air and providing a service to the community. Things sure have changed since they justified giving away spectrum.

KZNS is licensed for 670 watts at night, and that's aimed away from Alaska, so they are probably at 50 KW Omni daytime pattern. I'm not sure where their control point is, since KSL programs it, but Broadway maintains their transmitters. They often have issues with one or the other of their feeds. Most people at KSL don't seem to even know they exist.

KIHU hasn't had much of a night signal since they lost their "borrowed" tower. It would be interesting to know if there are any real plans to fix it. Mario Heeb, who designed it all, has moved away. I don't know if he even does radio plants any more. They used to have a pretty good coverage all around here.

I used to be a Google expert, and could find basically anything anyone needed to know. It's now become a nuisance.

It shows up as a Google "Beta" site. They are suddenly appearing out of nowhere. I started getting YouTube suggestions from Tucker Carlson's site, encouraging me to run over children with my car.

I posted that, a bit tongue in cheek, wondering if anyone else thinks it's strange. For a couple of months now, any time I search for KSL on Google, I get a page of stuff that seems to be a broker for KSL Cold Case Podcasts. Looks like they are a click bait, maybe getting paid (by someone) to get you to look. Seems similar to all those foreign sites that are now linking to funeral and death notices, random news stories, and lists of shooting victims. Is anyone else seeing this stuff? I may call Desert Digital, then clear my browser. Larry retired a couple of decades ago.

Where is KPDR's studio, or (as we used to say), "Local Point of Presence")? The last thing I ever saw, was their old ex-restaurant in South Salt Lake, which looked much like it was destroyed by a tornado. They have an address on a Facebook page, but it doesn't even look like any antennas or dishes. I sure miss the old days when the FCC required stations to have local contact information.

They gave a full Legal ID, with call sign (though it was at the quarter hour). Sounded a bit like they didn't really have a specific format.

I'm hearing them faintly, at Midvale. They just finished a program about neutraceutals, and are now running some religious talk

Seems that we haven't heard anything for a while. Are they building studios, making changes to the transmitter site, or anything? Any imminent sign-in plans, even?
