There may not be any. I'm pretty sure that KDYL is airing the "Radio Unica" format, which I believe is nationally syndicated. Radio Unica may be similar to Westwood One's "America's Best Music" format that has no DJ's, just an anonymous female voice with network promos and local station ID's during breaks in the music.

I thought they were "building studios". I hope they will do a bit of local, public service programming.

The management may still be working on getting a local studio set up and/or hiring air talent. Since KDYL was off the air for a couple of months after the lightning strike fried the transmitter power supplies, I'd imagine the first priority would be to get some kind of programming on the air, even if it's just music without any DJ's. I did hear a female voice speaking Spanish a few minutes ago, but I couldn't tell if it was just a commercial or local programming since I only know a little bit of Spanish.
BTW, KDYL's signal is pretty strong in Ogden tonight for just 150 watts. There's almost no trace of the other stations on 1060 underneath KDYL, but that could be due to unusual propagation conditions.

David's right. The station is fighting to even be on the air so expecting DJ's at this point is kinda unrealistic. In a perfect world that would be great to have right out of the gate, but this is far from a perfect world.
David, why are you sure they were on their nighttime power last night?

I'm not really sure KDYL was broadcasting with nighttime power after 10 PM, but the signal didn't seem strong enough to suggest that the station was broadcasting with daytime power, either. For that matter, KDYL may be operating with reduced power both day & night. IIRC, Mr. Kifuri said the 1965 vintage Continental is the 10 kW rig, and KDYL's back up transmitter is only 1 kW. They may be using the 1 kW rig if the Continental is still being repaired.

I thought they were streaming a regular program lineup already, even with the problems in the on-air signal.

I thought they were streaming a regular program lineup already, even with the problems in the on-air signal. KDYL is streaming on TuneIn, but that appears to be the only internet presence they have right now. Their website at radiounica1060.com is offline for maintenance, and the most recent post on the station's Facebook page is from January 2022.

Let's back up a second. Are we sure that radiounica1060.com and/or the Facebook page are owned by the same company that owns KDYL? I'm also not sure how permissions for TuneIn work and whether it requires a broadcaster's permission or involvement.

No modulation, after 12:07 PM. Carrier is there. Lights are on and nobody's home again. KDYL has been on the air with nothing but a dead carrier since early this morning. 🙄

KDYL - Hopefully on the air for a long time from now on. What did you have to do? Were you able to get new or rebuilt power supplies? Is the power line better protected, now? Glad to hear it back on the air, with legacy call sign, on a legacy frequency!

New. And even tough we are on the air we are still susceptible to power surges but working on it. There are still a good number of issues, we still need to take care of, but at least, we now know what we are dealing with. Before, we did not have the slightest idea why the transmitter had been modified, and could not just put it back to specs without knowing why it had been rigged. Now it is just a matter of putting a few more hours into it to have it back up pounding the airwaves with a clean, powerful signal. Thank you for all your help !!!
