Cut and paste is your friend. According to Radio Insight, the new owner is Iglesia Pentecostal Vispera Del Fin, which translates to Pentecostal Church Vision of the End. According to RI, KPVO is also included in the deal and that had been previously running Utah's Goat. Was Goat on KPVO too? I don't remember hearing that.

The cell phone discussion has been given its own thread here.

KPVO was not running the Goat. It is running a Classic Country format. I don't know when/if that will change under the new owners

So does anyone know if 1580 and 99.9 are still broadcasting Frank's message about Utah's Goat having moved to 96.7, or has the new owner replaced the message with their own programming?

KPVO has always been classic country under the name "V100" 1580 is still running Frank’s message. It has run much, much longer than I ever anticipated it would. I expect that will change soon but I don't have an inside scoop on that. They can pull the plug on it whenever they choose, but I won't complain that it has run longer, though I have gotten some interesting messages from DXer's that have picked it up

1400 is still running Frank talking about Kosy 96.7 during the Eagle Mountain Storage commercial.

1400 is still running Frank talking about Kosy 96.7 during the Eagle Mountain Storage commercial. I'm not sure what your point is in mentioning this, but Kosy 96.7 is history. It went away when Frank decided that Utah's Goat was the format which had the best chance of succeeding, and he moved the Goat to 96.7. If Frank is still referencing Kosy 96.7 in a commercial airing on KSRR, it's probably because it hasn't been updated yet. I was listening to KQMB 96.7 just last week and heard the Eagle Mountain Storage commercial, and there was no mention of Kosy 96.7. "Hi, this is Frank from Utah's Goat" is what I heard, and I can't understand why the same commercial audio wouldn't also be heard on KSRR.

1400 is still running Frank talking about Kosy 96.7 during the Eagle Mountain Storage commercial. Oops. Fixed. The reason was because when we retired Kosy, I used the computer to replace the KSRR computer, which was rather old. The spots were the same across both stations for the most part, so I didn't move the entire library, but clearly I forgot that those spots were personalized per station. Doh!

I'd call no-harm-no-foul on that one myself. At least it wasn't intentional and it was still true.
I had the displeasure years ago of having to work with an advertiser who would consistently schedule (and I was programming into our system) sale spots two weekends in a row with the second weekend of the sale "held over by popular demand" before the we'd even gotten to the first weekend that was a one weekend sale. It was deceptive at best and fraud at worst.

Don't get me started on the local furniture and mattress stores that are constantly going out of business.

Don't get me started on the local furniture and mattress stores that are constantly going out of business. I won't mention the business by name, but there's a furniture/mattress store in Layton that IMO has the most obnoxious radio ads in Salt Lake City. I have to change the station or turn off my radio every time one of their ads is aired, simply to keep my blood pressure from going up 10 points. 😉
