As of last night at about 10:30 the TuneIn stream for KLO on Alexa is still running dead air with a very faint 60 cycle hum and the legal ID at the top of the hour. It also still plays a local ad before connecting.

It happened. The callsign changes went into effect Nov 3. 1430 is now officially KMES and 103.1 is now officially KLO-FM. Was The Wave using the full KLO-FM callsign or did they say just KLO? I'm wondering if they'll drop the -FM suffix now that the root callsign is available. The only other outstanding piece was the online stream. The stream linked to from the website seems completely unavailable. When I had noticed it, I recall "KLO". I don't remember hearing "FM", but I may have been so use to hearing "FM" that I may have not have noticed it. Been busy this past few days so I'll try to pay attention during my next radio session.

They must have more than one bumper. Today I paid attention to one that came up and it only had KLO. But it was part of a larger bumper.
Then I just heard the bumper for 7:00pm Sunday (just before Unrest on the Seventh Day) and it had KLO FM in the bumper.

It might make sense to leave the suffix to differentiate The Wave from the formats that were on the AM for the few people who actually notice such things. Of course it seems likely that anyone who noticed would probably know the backstory anyway.

It leaves the option open for a resumption of AM broadcasting.

It leaves the option open for a resumption of AM broadcasting. True but I don't think it matters. They could always switch 103.1 back again if they wanted to. Besides, if they wanted an AM why would they have sold 1430?

KLO's "Unforgettable 1430" web site is now history. If you type in the previous web address, it now redirects to a domain name registration site.

That's not a registrar, that's the hosting provider. "Nothing is impossible. Some things are just harder to believe than others." - Euclid Bullfinch I believe that, but this case stretches that belief. If I were going for a justification I would have gone with seller's remorse.
