From All Access........One outgoing programmer told ALL ACCESS, "They simply told me that programming would be delivered in a different manner, eliminating the need for my position."
And it is!! One format and numerous cities including Utah. Rock 99.1 or known as The Classic Rock Channel on I Heart....also heard in Dallas,Tampa,Denver and just about everywhere a Clear Channel classic rock station is heard delivered by satellite. Using the I Heart App I've noticed that one format using same DJ's depending on time zone is used on numerous stations across the country eliminating the need for local programmers and to put a boat load of $$ in the big wigs bonus I guess.
Basically what I'm saying is local originality going bye-bye cookie cutter radio setting up shop.

All Access has also been reporting various changes at Cumulus/Citadel rolling across the country (New York last week, Dallas, Chicago and LA yesterday).
I wonder when things will hit SLC. My guess is later, rather than sooner - still larger markets for them to destro... work on.

Interesting. I haven't heard that, though, it would probably be the smart move if he had the chance. Have they even named anyone as new PD of KBull?

DS, they do specifically state in the article that there will be more localization. Of course that is open to interpretation. That said, I wouldn't count on using a throwaway station like 99.1 as an indicator of anything myself.
