I saw a listing on Zap2It over the weekend saying that the 2001 "Ocean's Eleven" was going to air on KUED Saturday night. I thought that seemed like a little recent for such a big movie to be on a PBS station. The studio would likely be demanding a fairly hefty fee, and KUED has to watch the budget a lot more closely than commercial networks/stations. Turns out there was a miscommunication somewhere and it was the 1960 original with the Rat Pack that KUED ran. That makes a lot more sense. Both are good movies, but they're hardly interchangeable.
In thinking about it, I'm surprised this kind of snafu doesn't happen more often. How often do you see programs with the same name switched in the listings? I can't remember the last time before this.
