Came to visit family in the SLC and as usual like to channel surf and stopped on 100.7 and really noticed a huge mix of 80's every other song was from the 80's A-HA - Dan Hartman - Kim Wilde - General Public - The Cure - Til Tuesday - The Fixx - Wham and so on.... So has this been going on for awhile or is this new? I liked it being an 80's child heard some stuff that I have'nt in a long time sounded good.....

I'd listen for sure if that was the case. I'm also a child of the 80s, and I appreciate that music so much more than the crap thats out there now. If they could get their main fixed, I could hear them here in Wyoming, and they'd have a fan if they flipped all 80s.... however I doubt the format would last long enough (see the station in Vegas that did the same thing).

Yeah! Just check their played tracks: www.yes.com/#KYMV Almost every other song is 80's-90's and only a few current CHR tracks are in there. I guess their rim-shot can't compete with ZHT and Mix.

Well.. wait, now that Simmons and Millcreek are the same, it makes sense that movin' wouldn't duplicate Mix's format.

Good point Timmy. And the ironic thing is that Rhythmic 80's were where Movin' was when it launched 5 years ago. That was the concept. It was Jammin' Oldies moved up 20 years. Maybe the ratings skewed too old, but they shifted much more modern. Now being in the same corporate family with both Mix and U92, they need to be careful. And they need to be careful that no one in the COL's that the Humpy's are supposed to be serving complain about not being able to hear the darn things.

I went up on the nearby mountain north of town here, and all Humpy stations are back to their working order. This must have happened within the past 2 weeks as I've not heard a peep out of any of them since January or earlier. I'm guessing they are just now able to get to the peak now that the weather is warming.

Are they the ones that have the tv commercial that says "all 80's at 8P every weekday" and then it doesn't include the radio station name or frequency? It was on a program I recorded and I had to watch the spot like 10 times to make sure that I was really noticing that they didn't include their name or frequency.

Stupidity happens. You'd thinks someone would notice something like that, but not necessarily. Reminds me of a few incidents at a cable company I used to work for. A certain furniture store (nobody you'd know) ran a New Year's Sale spot until mid-February. Same client would run "This Weekend Only" sale spots, followed by "Held Over Due to Excessive Demand" spots the next weekend. Both spots were scheduled in advance and even delivered on the same tape. Nobody cared that the client was lying.

I think you might have seen that on The Cool TV?? They have the 80's at 8 every night meaning videos from the 80's when MTV was M tv
