My oldies would be Classic Oldies. Heavy on 1964-69, with some appropriate earlier or later.

I voted for Oldies because that's the format closest to Adult Standards that I see here. I'm thinking of the type of format that's on KLGN 1390 (Logan) or KEZW 1430 in Colorado. Yep, I know it's a dying format (probably because a lot of the audience for Adult Standards is dying off), but that doesn't mean someone a bit younger than the target demographic for the format doesn't enjoy the older tunes from the 1940's and 1950's.

I voted for oldies too. I wish KDYL was receivable here.

It's a Pandora wall. Anything long term (more than 5 years) needs to be local, cheap, and probably some kind of talk (since the Performance Royalty is well on its way).
Maybe mount random microphones on UTA busses?

Maybe mount random microphones on UTA busses? That would make for entertaining radio. They could rename a call sign KUTA. All real, uncut, and live. I'd listen.... for a few minutes.

Local talk which unceremoniously hangs up on political callers.

I would love to have a station in SLC that takes the playlists from the DJs on KCRW in Santa Monica, KEXP in Seattle, and Minnesota Public Radio's "The Current". Hire someone with some musical taste to listen to all the songs on those lists, pick the best 100 each week, and play that here.
I'm so completely sick of radio that plays either the same recycled "oldies" from the 60s to 90s, that haven't been getting any better over time, or the same Top-40 Flavor of the Week artists who will be forgotten in 3 years.
Play something relevant. Try something new.
