A friend told me to tune into "B98.7" which had been using the same jingle package for 5+ ? years.
Now the station is calling itself "Utah's favorite hits" and doesn't really have a big punching jingle package... but, it seems to be playing a mix of mainstream pop-rock music from the last decade. I don't think I've heard a single 1980s cut. I have heard some from 1995-2000, most notably "Torn" which you couldn't get away from.
Do they still have to say "With Todd and Erin in the morning" over and over and over?!? :-)

I think the new imaging sucks, and that they are trying to sound like fm100. If i wanted to listen to a cheap knockoff of a station that i alredy dont listen to, I'd listen to todays 106.5 or now 97.9. Just my $.02 worth. ;D

Well at least its something! B has been so stale for so long, its about time they did something. and did you notice, they are not taging songs! I think its all right. I would like to see them put some fun back into it like the old days. Aside from Todd & Erin and Shawn Stevens, do they even have local jocks on?
Isn't it funny that the stations that have LIVE, local jocks from 6a-12mid are the ones doing well in PPM? I'm just sayin!!

Any idea who is doing the Bee's new jingle package? I poked around TM Studio's site, but I couldn't see the melody on any of the new packages.

Oh, I forgot about the horrid song tags. Living out of market I've been blessed to be away from all that.
Thanks, Steve. Glad they are not staying with "Now 97.9" or "FM 100 ... point 3" in that realm.
Rusty Keys hosts a midday shift at B as well, but I would think he has to VT since he is now PD of KENZ and KBEE. Seems like managing that many people and that much content would make you very busy and tired.
