In this day and age of voice tracking, mistakes are bound to happen, especially when computers don't play nicely. That or someone leaves a switch or something on that they shouldn't have.
This evening the voice tracking became blatantly obvious on 94.1 when two songs played over each other in their entirety and the DJ announced only one of the two. No one made an effort to correct the problem. No one came on the air and said whoops, here is the real song without the other playing in the background.
Am I the only one who misses live breathing people in the studio? I mean, voice tracking can be done right (I know of numerous hosts who don't sound like they are recorded, but are). I wonder how many people noticed the boo boo on 94.1 because it was obvious one way or another. This reminds me of an incident on Jack awhile back where the songs were out of order and the DJ was announcing them incorrectly. Laziness, or something else?
It sure was funny to hear Sitting on the Dock of the Bay playing underneath the Orleans' Dance with Me.

I can name at least one city where doing something like that to an Otis Redding song is considered grounds for capital punishment.
