Also: Just my luck. I've come to really like Millcreek's stations. Wanna bet Simmons will ruin 'em and turn them into soulless Nexgen bots within six months? Like MOOOOVIN' They ruined that station period!!!!!

Which Movin'? v1 or v2? The current Movin' isn't really that similar to the one that debuted when the Humpy version of 100.7 signed on.
I'm pretty sure Pete is right. I also think that LMA's count toward ownership caps too, which was why Clear Channel had to sell 94.9 years back.

I was mainly thinking of Movin v1 that was DOA. I heard the format itself hasn't done very well in other markets. I haven't heard of any format changes or anything related to this move (other than The Blaze going mainstream.)

I'm with DSPete....I like the original incarnation of Movin. Then too I'm a fan of the "jammin oldies" type stations. I like the rhythmic sound and the "soul" kinda flavor. Salt Lake has never been a big market for that kind of stuff. I actually LOVED Fever 107.9. "Utah's MOVIN oldies" but there just isn't enough love for that type of music in Salt Lake. Hence, I'm pretty sure that's why Simmons decided to take it to CHR instead. On a related note, ClearChannel just debuted a new station in Pensacola, FL....107.3 the Groove. It's just like the original movin with some CHR hits from today mixed in with a lot of the urban stuff from the 90s and 80s and 70s. Cool stuff! I'm not a clearchannel fan but I love this station. Listen online at www.1073thegroove.com . So I guess that's 2 "rhythmic" stations that have now failed in SLC...wonder if anyone else is gonna give it a try? Probably not. Michael n Wyo

I have a correction to make, I meant Movin' v2, not one. Now that I am remembering correctly, Movin v1 was a decent station.

Most of you are completely wrong, a couple of you are a little right. Keep going and you might hit it on the nail....or the "post" if you wanna use radio terms.
