Park City LPTV KPDR has won approval to move to digital Ch 19 from Ensign Peak. (The application states they want to move east, but they are in fact moving west.)
Is that on the air in PC now?

Is it on Comcast here in SLC? I will rescan my box a few times in the coming weeks.

Not on Comcast as far as I know. I wouldn't be able to tell if it was currently a simulcast though. I'm not real clear on how must carry rules apply to LPTV's.
I forgot to mention it was also recently sold to MCUSA, which I think is the Mennonite Church.

So, they go on Ensign, and (according to the FCC maps), beam away from their home city (Park City)? I wonder if SLC is their priority?
Also, why add another odd-ball transmitter location in the market? Just another "Why can't DTV be reliable" channel, for folks to complain about. Antenna rotors, anybody?

...unless you use an FM antenna as a TV antenna like me. In my case, I get all stations without having to worry about where I am pointed. The average OTA viewer though is probably not as savvy as me (or has a better antenna).

The directional difference for me (from up in Weber) isn't really all that much. Same would be true for southern Salt Lake and Utah Counties I think. The stations would probably be so strong in Salt Lake County itself that direction might not be that much of an issue (at least if you have a decent antenna.)
As for why Ensign, the app is for Ch19 which is first adjacent to K18FJ (analog) on one side and KTMW/20 (digital) on the other. Maybe that causes issues to them.
