For the past week or so KSOP 1370 has been bleeding from about 1330 all the way up to 1420. It sounds a bit off frequency. On one of my radios KFNZ is being eaten by splatter from 1370 as is KLO. The radio granted is a cheap alarm clock, but the problem is present on every other radio I own.
My Sony XDR-F1HD, the best radio I have, is effected in the range above. The problem is less at night but during the day is much worse.
Just an FYI in case anyone in charge of engineering checks this board. Thanks!

I checked a few hours after you posted this (still in daytime) and 1370 seemed just fine from the Weber listening post, and that was on a radio that's notorious for having horrible adjacent channel selectivity. I wonder if there's something between you and the transmitter that's playing around with the signal a bit. We'll probably need a few more data points first.

My house is approx 3.61 miles from KSOP's transmitter. The radios I use are a Sony XDR-F1HD, a Sony Dreammachine Alarm clock circa 1993, and the stock radio of a 2002 Subaru Outback. All three pick up the splatter during the day time but very little at night. The area of South Salt Lake has 4 stations within very close proximity so I'm wondering if something is happening with interference but I do know the splatter is clearly from KSOP as the music gives it away.

I'm betting it is just my radios if no one else is having problems. Doh!

I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss it if it's on multiple radios. One radio alone could be easily chalked up to a quirk of the radio itself. Multiple radios, not so much. The easiest one to check would be the car radio. Have you tried monitoring the splatter when you're away from home? You might also try turning Milo off for a minute and see if that's producing some weird artifacts, though being in a different band would seem to say that's not it.

But...but... lol. I turn MiloFM off all the time to hear Meteor Scatter. The transmitting antenna for "Milo" is less than a foot away from my outdoor receiving antenna. When Milo is on and I'm trying to FM DX, things can be tough. I doubt Milo would cause odd harmonics though anything is possible. As far as the car radio, the stock in a 2002 Subaru Outback isn't exactly the best radio in the world, but it's certainly not the worst. Today I was checking again, and yep, in the car the splatter is the strongest. It is weakest on the XDR but present on the alarm clock. It could be geographically related too. There is an increase in elevation to my east but it goes down to the west. I dunno EDIT: I forgot to mention. The splatter is worst closest to the spaghetti bowl, which is also right smack on top of the transmitter.

KSOP's AM TX is at their studios in WVC, off of Redwood and 201. That's not horribly close to the Spaghetti Bowl...

If KSOP(AM) is where the FCC thinks it is (which would be a really good idea) it's along SR201 halfway between I15 and I215, which is a mile west of the Spaghetti Bowl. I would call that close. YMMV.

A mile to my radio is close enough for splatter. I live that close to KJQS and its bad 10 kHz on either side, but it still doesn't do what KSOP does, taking up 30 kHz.
