KNFL has vanished again, maybe for good this time? I haven't heard the station on air for at least four days now. Gee, maybe the endless loop of Christmas music finally wore out. Looks like I spoke too soon: KNFL is once again broadcasting after an absence of a couple of weeks. This time they're playing an eclectic mix of jazz/classical/new age music that sounds like nothing else on the AM or FM bands. At least they finally 86'ed the Christmas music and are airing music more appropriate to the season. By the way, for all you "legal eagles," KNFL is airing a legal ID at the top of each hour and on the half hour as well.

Well glad to see something other than waaaay out of season Christmas music is finally airing. No commercials though? No commercials or any other programming at present besides the music and the legal ID's. At this point I think the bankruptcy receiver is just keeping the station on the air in order to keep KNFL's license from expiring, although I think he's already met the requirements by broadcasting on 1470 from December through March.

Yeah could be. It has a good sig in northern Utah, too bad it has to be wasted.

Given the bankruptcy, I think the alternative is being silent. Not much of a difference, but a little.
