Hi everyone, I have a question maybe someone in the business could answer.
Yesterday I was looking at cars at the south town auto mall and I noticed a ton of radio stations there. I think 101 was there, and Movin too. The Blaze was there too and I saw them cooking something.
Aren't you supposed to have a permit to cook and serve food to the public? I don't think the health department would like it if someone was breaking the law. Just a question, does anyone know if they have a permit or not? I'm not trying to get anyone in trouble, but if they are breaking the law, I don't think that is very smart. Thanks!

It was most likely a caterer or local restaurant. I would highly doubt the staff of a station would cook, other than for a photo-op or some goof.

Yeah most likely a catering company or you have someone around that has a license to cook.. just like you see these people selling hotdogs and the local baseball event...

Even if they catered the food, I know the station personalities were the actual ones cooking it, the guy had a blaze shirt on.

Hot dogs are one of the easiest things to do, probably why "The Blaze" has done them since the beginning. Permits aren't that hard to obtain; I'm assuming the station's been smart enough to get a food handler's permit. Also, since no money is being exchanged, contamination is likely minimal (see: Food Network's Food Detectives to see what can happen if it's not watched closely). www.foodnetwork.com/food-detectives/index.html

If he had a blaze shirt on, then it must be the BLAZE!
Blazin BBQ... and it does sound like your trying to get them in trouble.
The Blaze has been doing these for years.

We did do a Blazin' BBQ this weekend at the South Towne Auto Mall. And, yes, we do have the proper permits. Thanks!

Bald, you are right... Of all the piddly little nitpicky crap you can question about a radio station's activities!! Give em a break! I mean, shoot! You better get the FCC involved next time someone's TOH misses by a couple minutes!! Good hell!

It seemed like just a question to me. I mean, if you wanted to actually get someone in trouble this place really wouldn't help much. We aren't the authorities, thank goodness.

I just had a little energy to burn off. Love this board, CA! I also just wanted to use piddly and nit-picky really close in a sentence.
