Looks like 570 has their new Website up: www.freedom570utah.comLook under their menu labeled "Shows" to see the new line-up. Neal Boortz will be on in the morning. Sounds interesting to me. (I wonder whether CC will ever carry Glenn Beck's 3 hours live in S.L. This would be a good time to be shuffling schedules.)

And it looks like all of the programming is live, except for 7pm-11pm.
I don't know whether Wall Street Journal This Morning is live. I suppose some of it is repeated.

Oooh. Freedom will have Midnight Radio Network. That's going to put KLO in an interesting position. They've been carrying that for a long time, since back when it was Midnight Trucking Network I believe. (It really still is, but that's another story.) So what will KLO do? Two months ago I would have said there's no way the same show would run on two stations in the same market. Today pigs are flying and the rule book is out the window.
I'm having visions of rerunning Dennis Miller (who just reupped his contract by the way) on the overnight and getting legions of kids hiding transistor radios under their pillows a la Jean Shepherd.

The new 570 was launched by the time I checked at almost 5AM. Anybody happen to catch when the switch happened?
I'm of two minds about double running Wall Street Journal This Morning. Not everybody will be up by 4AM, but 4 hours of WSJ? I dunno.

The switch happened during the midnight news. It wasn't very clean. Fox News started and eventually switched to CNN News.
WSJ This Morning might attract some high end ad sales. No one will listen for more than an hour, just business types on their way to work.
As for 860 going progressive talk, that might make some sense. Their nighttime signal is pretty weak, but would cover the urban area where liberals are concentrated. Their daytime signal is huge.
Oh, and KLO wasn't carrying the Midnight Truckers last night. I don't know who it was.
I didn't listen to much 570 programming today. I'm too addicted to Glenn Beck on satellite and Rush on 105.7 . I do expect to listen to Neal Boortz though on occasion.

Oh, and KLO wasn't carrying the Midnight Truckers last night. I don't know who it was. How late were you up? According to their site, the Truckers don't start until 1 am on K-L-O. I still miss KCPW's BBC World Service coverage. Yes, I could get a satellite radio for it, but it'd be nice if KUOW didn't think that re-running DIANE REHM at 12 am for 2 hours is topical/relevant radio.

I was listening just after midnight, so it was probably Dennis Prager. If I'm up, I'll check out KLO tonight.

I checked when Midnight used to be on and it was Mike Gallagher. Where did he used to be on KLO, and why do they seem to have a thing for guys named Mike/Michael. They've got three now.
Back to Freedom for a moment. K256AE/99.1 was MIA tonight. Are they off the air again or was the fuzzbox from 99.5 covering them up again?

99.1 was/is MIA for half the day. All I hear is dead air, not static. 99.5 is having HD troubles, with the HD portion being off more than on.
Also, KSL 1160 had it's HD off again all day. Why use HD if it isn't reliable in the first place??
{EDIT} As of right now 99.1 is off air completely and 99.5 is back in HD. I am hearing hiss from both HDs on either side on the open freq.
