I'm hearing some rumblings that Clear Channel is looking to put BizRadio on 570. www.bizradio.com/home.phpI've never heard of most of these people before. That would make it a tough sell. The only one I've heard of is Loral Langemeier and that's only because I've heard a ton of commercials for her mail order stuff. That's not saying much. Seems to me that even Air America would be a better choice. At least at AA you've heard of some of the hosts.

Wow. That's hard to believe, but certainly possible. There is plenty of business news available besides BizRadio. I'd hope they would choose the best among that which is available. Years ago I used to listen many hours a day to business radio in Phoenix (KFNN 1510) and in Portland (KBNP 1410), but that was before CNBC became available on satellite.
They certainly wouldn't have a large audience but it would be comparatively very affluent -- prime territory for Lexus ads.
And yes, Loral Langemeier has some extremely annoying ads. I guess that's why we remember her name.

Was KFNN ever affiliated with the FNN satellite network? I don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised. As you may know, FNN started as a single UHF TV station in LA and eventually became CNBC. There is certainly a market for financial information. I miss being able to hear the Bob Brinker show that KNRS used to carry on weekends. XM doesn't carry it any more either. I actually have to listen through the static to KVNU 610 in Logan to get my fix. Maybe the new KNRS will carry him again.

As you may know, FNN started as a single UHF TV station in LA and eventually became CNBC. I don't know about FNN's origins, but strictly speaking FNN did not become CNBC. CNBC was created by NBC and was separate from FNN for a number of years. CNBC won the ratings war and ended up buying FNN. They branded as CNBC/FNN for several months to transition FNN's viewers over.
