She was the butt of a lot of jokes in the market, probably most notably from Radio From Hell, but I must agree that Jodi Saeland was one of the best forecasters in Utah. I liked Jodi, I didn't even realize she left.
KSL has the old men forcasters, KUTV has the young blondes, KSTU had a good mixture... My guess is that Fox will get someone who has more to offer than pointing at the screen and reading teleprompter. Jodi had/has a great personality and was very comfortable in front of the camera.

What about not even having a dedicated weathercaster? Do we really need to know why there are going to be thunderstorms tonight? Just the fact that we probably will is enough for me. If there's a particularly interesting aspect to some weather event then you can go in depth, but usually 30-45 seconds should be plenty to give us whats (probably) going to happen.
