iHeart used to have boosters in Park City for all of their FM stations. They requested the FCC delete them all. I have no idea why they would do that. I figure there must be some reason. The stations were built many years ago, so there's no construction costs. Maybe there was some issue with tower rent costs? Relatively speaking there aren't that many people living in the Park City area, so maybe it's just a cost-cutting measure?
So I'm wondering how difficult it is to pick up the Farnsworth stations directly in Park City. Can anyone who lives or travels there give us some kind of an idea of the impact this might have on listeners to those stations?
