The big questions as we began the year were how well would the new Hank FM do in its first full month and would it be an improvement over The Eagle. The answers are 'not well' and 'no.' It didn't improve over the dismal numbers that The Eagle posted when they went Christmas. I haven't seen any advertising for it, though I wouldn't expect to since I'm not in the appropriate demographic. Given the reluctance that Broadway has for flipping formats of stations that aren't doing well, I wouldn't expect another flip for a while. That's especially true since they dismantled what was left of Kool FM.
In the rest of the post-Christmas checklist, both FM 100.3 and My 99.5 picked up pretty much where they left off pre-Christmas.
The big news was that B98.7 had a big jump and posted the best numbers they've had since November 2018. Wow.
The hits that stations like KSL, KODJ and Now 97.9 took during Christmas haven't fully reversed, but they were up some.
Mix 105.1 trended up significantly over Christmas and it's maintaining it.
The drop that ESPN 700 took in the Dec 7 - Jan 3 period continued and they dropped even further, about where they were last summer.

ESPN 700 tumble makes sense.. Higher numbers during football season August thru the end of November. But the 92.1 frequency is pretty much useless outside of the Salt Lake metro area.

I've wondered whether KTCE might ever be acquired for the right price, either by Broadway or someone else. There doesn't seem like much of a chance for a 92.1 near Ogden due to Family Radio's translator on 91.9, and I don't think they're selling.
