There are no signs of an official contest this year to guess when FM 100.3 will flip to Christmas, so I thought why not do one here for fun? And just to make things a little more interesting you can guess when any other station will flip too. There are no prizes other than bragging rights, sorry.
I'm guessing FM 100.3 will flip Thursday 11/16 at 7AM.
Your turn!

Well, Timmy didn't win. But CA still might. I'm going to guess that KSL is going to go all Christmas on Christmas morning at midnight or after the mass at the Cathedral of the Madeline if they go back to airing that. They used to air midnight mass every year but I think the last couple of years they haven't. I think they do play Christmas music on Christmas day from some syndicated package where it's a Christmas countdown or something. Probably not the kind of flip you were talking about but I figured I'd throw it in anyway.

One of my favorite Christmas memories was, doing the Midnight Mass at the Cathedral. Full TV and radio production, with the big Video West truck. All of the crew waiting outside afterwards, warming up our vehicles, and hugging each other. Fun times of radio and TV.

Very interesting. I wonder if they actually have a switch that makes the station play Christmas music when flipped.

Could be like the Digital TV transition, where everyone said it was the "switch to digital", when it was actually the switch-off of analog. It all depended on which way you were looking at the big model of a switch. Maybe she'll flip a switch to turn off the non-holiday music 😉.
