It happened! I don't know when, but my wife was scanning the dial just a bit ago 11/6 around 5pm, and heard all Christmas on My 99.5.

Not really a surprise to me. They flipped on the first Friday in November both of the last two years. It's also a safe bet that FM100 will be flipping, though I don't see the usual "guess when we will flip" contest on their website yet. Looking at previous years I would guess Thursday the 16th. Who else do you think will go all in on Christmas?

These are what you'd call outlyer stations I suppose but KBLQ HD2 and 3 have flipped already,. (That's Logan's Lite FM 103.3). I imagine Klassy FM KMGR (I believe they're licensed to Nephi these days) may flip at some point. They haven't as of yet. Doesn't 1120 KANN (Sound of the Spirit Radio) usually flip at some point?

I think The Eagle 101.5 has flipped in the past. The Bee 98.7 has as well, if I recall... Any other "main" stations? KOSY probably did back in the day.

Yes, I believe Lite has flipped already. KANN I think always does, and I'm pretty sure The Eagle does as well. Both of the stations known as KOSY (106.5 and 96.7) did before they went defunct. (KOSY 106.5 actually ended Christmas early to become Rock 106.5 back in 2012.) B98.7 has before, but from my quick check I don't think they have since 2014 and it really didn't help them then. 9 years is an eternity in radio so....

I was in my local CVS Pharmacy last night (the 27th) and the store was still playing Christmas. I guess someone at Corporate forgot to tell the local store manager to switch back to the standard stream. That makes me wonder -- how DO large chain stores get their streams and how customized are they? Are there some corporations that "roll their own"? I know Walmart does. www.walmartworld.com/content/walmart-world/en_us/radio.html

You're assuming it was a mistake. If that was a corporate feed then corporate should know it was still on. I don't have anything to back it up but my impression is that it's become quite common for large retail operations to do their own music services. It's cheap and it allows them to control the narrative in their stores.
Not all radio stations end the Christmas music at midnight on the 26th (or even earlier.) It's worth pointing out that according to the Christmas story we will still be in the Christmas season until Jan 5. The 12 Days of Christmas STARTS on Dec 25.

I don't end Christmas music on my internet station till Mew Year's night at midnight, so January 2. I still consider that week between Christmas and New Year's part of the holiday.
