Bell Media will be shuttering CKMX along with several other AM stations, as well as cutting 1,300 jobs. This should leave 1060 much clearer at night for the new owner of KDYL.

I thought of KDYL too, but any benefit of the shut down seems likely to be short lived. CKMX is 50kW non-directional days and 50kW directional nights. That's too big a signal to just abandon. Others of their stations are being sold and I'd be shocked if the ones being shut down aren't also for sale.
