This comes up because of the news of the passing of Dick Nourse. Obviously KSL covered the story. I didn't see any of the other stations' newscasts tonight, but looking at their websites I don't see any mention of him. Should 2, 4 and 13 run at least a short story? I say yes. I know there are those who think that anything that could make their audience think of a competing station is bad. (For example, if you're a radio station and your main competitor is at 57 on the dial, never say the temperature is 57 degrees. Instead, say it's 56 or 58.) It's not like the audience has never heard of KSL, and the majority have at least heard of Dick Nourse. To not acknowledge someone with that kind of longevity and influence in the market says to me that there's something getting in the way of journalism and that's not good.
Agree or disagree?

FWIW, channel 13’s 4pm news did have a story about Dick Nourse’s death. It ran about one minute in length.
I think I also heard just a brief mention on channel 2, but I don’t remember specifics.

Good to know that. Thanks Terry.
Just to clarify, I wasn't meaning to imply that the other stations didn't mention him. I didn't know. I just wanted to open up the discussion about whether they should and see whether others agree with me.
