The special will have I believe three airings on Wednesday. On ABC4 it airs at 6:30PM. On CW30 it's listed as airing at both 7PM and 7:30. I'm guessing it's repeated since the news that usually airs in that slot is the full hour.
This should be fun. KTVX has been promoting their history a lot in station promos for the last 5 years and it always looks interesting. Getting a little more in depth should prove educational. I'm looking forward to this.

Did anyone here watch? I saw some of it on KTVX's YouTube channel tonight. Even saw Eugene Jelesnik in one photo.
Any comments?

I've only had the chance to skim it. I think there were actually two half-hours. (Good thing I recorded all of it.) The first was on 4 at 6:30 and again on 30 at 7:30. The second was only on 30 at 7PM.
If you like geeky behind the scenes stuff, you should like this.

I watched all the KTVX Anniversary specials this afternoon, on YouTube. I was amazed at how much historical footage and still photos they showed. I sent a message to a friend from the old WTVT FOX-13 Tampa alumni group, suggesting he pass along the info to an old friend, Cliff Benham of the Early Television Foundation and Museum. Cliff worked in Tampa, and was CE of QVC. He was an expert at vintage TV equipment, and built working models of lots of the old equipment.
Just received word that Cliff passed away last Wednesday, April 12.

I finally got a chance to watch it too. The historical stuff was definitely interesting, but there was some behind the scenes stuff that I caught that was even more interesting than what was in the broadcast itself.
The 7PM CW30 half hour was a unique show. What aired at 6:30 on ABC4 was reaired at 7:30 on CW30...mostly. The VO said that it was live so I'll take them at their word on that, at least for the 6:30 version. I did a side-by-side playback of both airings and aside from different commercial break lengths they were identical up until the point when the studio show threw it to VP/GM Mark Danielson who was broadcasting from the party they were throwing. The 7:30 airing was a completely different version from the one that aired at 6:30. The script seemed the same, but it was definitely not the same one. I'm also wondering why the teleprompter was apparently off to camera right instead of being mounted on the camera. That was weird.
