KNRS is now being simulcast on KODJ-HD2 (94.1) instead of on KTMY-HD2 (105.7). The commercial-free oldies on KODJ-HD2 are gone. At the moment there is no KTMY HD at all. KJMY HD (99.5)is also gone. The commercial-free "smooth jazz" on KJMY-HD2 is gone. Is CC giving up on HD radio?
By the way, KODJ-HD2 now identifies as KTMY-HD2, Centerville. Someone forgot to change something.

Clear Channel has been pretty gung ho about IBOC, so I'm not sure why they would do an about face. Maybe interference complaints? I don't think so, but I can't think of a better explanation.

According to KNRS' website and Terry, they're on KODJ-HD2. I can't confirm.

I actually looked with our DaySequerra HD modulation monitor before I got off the air tonight. Looks like Terry was correct so here is the verification CJ

CJ, is KSOP looking to go digital? I wonder at this point if it's worth it. Unless radios become cheap and / or built-in to everything....

I know we have some of the equipment installed and been upgrading other things that is needed for HD but I have no idea what Mr. Hilton is planning on doing.. Heck we are still running our original CCA Xmitter that was put up on farnsworth when we put the FM up there in the 70's, I think it sounds great. Gotta love those old tube type transmitters. Lets face it though, if your FM is tweaked well processing wise, I think its just as good sound as most HD here in this market, minus some of the high end.

Thanks for the confirmation CJ. It's really funny how many radio companies are fawning over how great IBOC sounds (which is debatable) when they haven't bothered putting any effort at all into how the analog sounds for years. Dumb!
What happened today answers my question about why on 105.7 from yesterday. Can anyone check if the buzzbox is still off 105.7 or not? I'm wondering if that's temporary or permanent. There might be a concern that cheaper radios won't be able to filter the crap out as well and that could impact ratings. My horrible bedroom clock radio has major fits with a whole bunch of reception issues, particularly with KRSP. If 105.7 doesn't sound any better than the fuzzier 102.3 or 106.1, it's going to have a much harder time.

105.7 shows no HD. 99.5 HD is back as is their HD2's "smooth jazz". 94.1HD2 is still KNRS.

So can someone in Utah confirm for me that KOSY HD2 is playing Classic Alternative?? DSPete Yes. 106-5 HD2 is playing classic alternative music. It is called "Radio Radio 106 point 5 hd2". Most of the music is from the 80's. There are no commercials. I can also confirm that KNRS 570 is on 94-1 HD2, Smooth Jazz is on 99-5 HD2 and something called "Mother Trucker" is on 97-1 HD2. Those are all of the Clear Channel stations.

Is it just me or would the "smooth jazz" go better on KOSY and the classic alternative on KJMY?
