People need to feed Lynn Arave some tips, dagnabit! I was hoping he'd at least have dug into Bill West's brain about why they added "point 3" to their name.
On a more serious note, I'm glad Mr. Arave was not part of the Deseret News' recent workforce reductions. I don't know if those have fully completed yet, but I think his column does provide a place of record of radio in the Salt Lake City-Ogden-Provo metro and that is perhaps its most important function.
He rarely writes a long opinion like Bill Virgin of the Seattle P-I will when he doesn't have tidbits from the stations to pass along. Seattle is also about to lose its only radio column, and to me that is VERY sad.

Thanks to Lynn for trying (?) to find out who was laid off at CC - SLC for this week's column.
Another pretty interesting thing from a Bonneville press release:
Guess FM100 didn't really need that "point 3."

Maybe they were hoping it would accidentally be added to their Arbitron numbers.
