Yes. Seattle radio is almost as horrid, however, we at least have DJs and no song tagging.

You forgot the "yet" at the end of that, SF. I suspect it's only a matter of time before somebody does it. What I don't get is why a station would do the tag when there's either a live DJ or a voicetrack there. Why not just backsell the song with the voice that's going to come anyway? That makes no sense to me. Since The B was tagging, it makes sense it would spread to other Citadel stations. The one I would encourage them to definitely stay away from is K-Bull 93. The station is doing extremely well and messing with anything on it is a bit risky.

Honestly, just one more step to the collapse of corporate radio. One more reason to start saving your pennies when there is a fire sale. Then we can play radio the way it was meant to be.

As I said before, one more reason not to listen to the station, the first being Chunga. I even work for Citadel, and I hate it (KENZ, not my job).

I was getting very jaded about a year ago as I saw home prices appears to shoot beyond my income forever, gas prices slipping from my reach, and radio sounding worse than ever. But in the past 18 months: * 07/07 WCBS flipped back to oldies, with live jocks! * 01/08 The housing market started returning to levels I may one day be able to afford. * 12/08 Fuel prices returned to below $2.00/gallon. If only radio can make a turn around to being creative and fun again, and I'll be completely happy.

Henry, I wish I could share your enthusiasm for the return of CBS-FM, but unfortunately I can't. the post-2007 CBS-FM is not the same station that was "The Golden 101" from years past. It's much more like The Arrow than an oldies station and is getting more so. KODJ is going the same way, just slowly and deliberately so they don't tick anyone off. Even Scott Shannon's True Oldies Channel has cut WAY back on the 50's/early 60's material that they hung their hat on for years after they launched.

Now we just need KSL to start tagging their ads. "(sung) Low Book Sales, Low Book SALES! (spoken with echo effect)Low Book Sales - In Orem and Ogden... (next ad)"
