It's really sad news to hear that, Jennie was an icon and a legend in the Cache Valley. She was a long-time news reporter that "hit the streets" to get the story, for as long as she could continue doing it. RIP Jennie.

I was listening to Al Lewis and Craig Hislop talk about Jennie on the KVNU Morning News on Tuesday, and Al said Jennie basically was the entire news department at KVNU during the nearly 50 years she worked at the station. I doubt Jennie would have had such a long and distinguished career as news director if she had been working for a station owned by a major media corporation. I guess that's one advantage of working for a locally owned and operated company like Cache Valley Media or Capital Broadcasting, although even the local companies aren't immune to layoffs as we have seen recently.
