The sale of Tribune's TV stations to Nexstar and the subsequent spinoff of several of them, including KSTU Fox 13, to Scripps has finished. Fox 13 didn't waste any time in updating their website to reflect the new bosses. Now I have to wonder what real changes might happen.
Certainly with the change of ownership (Nexstar got the former Tribune diginets like Antenna TV) and Scripps now has a station to put their own networks on like Laff. A lot of juggling might get confusing, so it's possible a good number of these diginets might not move at all. If I were putting a bet on a move, I would say taking Bounce off KBTU low power Ch 23 and putting it on 13 would make sense since that's a major upgrade. A lot (most? all?) of the other networks are on full power stations already, right?
I also wonder if there will be changes in the news department, either in terms of amount of news and/or editorial content. I have zero clue on that one.
Thoughts?
