Well this is interesting. Serestar is selling their stations to NBC Telemundo, which already owns KEJT 50. All three stations (and their more distant translators) already are primary affiliates of Telemundo. KTMW makes sense to me since it's a full power station, but I'm not seeing much added value for KULX. Maybe it was an all or nothing package deal?
The possibilities are interesting. Could NBC take the COZI-TV affiliation away from KSL? If you were paranoid, could NBC take the NBC network affiliation away from KSL now that they will have a full power signal if this is approved? I don't think that second one will happen but KSL does screw around with the schedule a lot. If nothing else this could give NBC leverage in affiliate negotiations.
