Title of the post says it all--and surprise, surprise, the All Access article mentions that Bell is considering coming out of "retirement" again! So much for his pledge to leave radio forever last December after his family was allegedly involved in a shooting incident in his Pahrump, NV neighborhood:
And people say Donald Trump is the master of spin.
This is, what, at least the third retirement cycle for Bell? I called his return when he left, and I'm 0% surprised. On the other hand, he needs to show damages so it's possible he's not really considering returning at all. In my opinion the biggest damages in anything related to Bell are to whatever outlets run his material (website, radio station, telepathy, etc.)
With Bell it's very hard to determine what his true intentions are, simply because he's a master of self-promotion. I was listening to Jon Grayson's Overnight America this morning, and Jon said that Thursday's show would be his last network broadcast. His program will still air live on KMOX in St. Louis and be available as a podcast, but the departure of Overnight America leaves close to 100 stations with no overnight programming to air. This includes some 50 KW blowtorch stations like WCCO in Minneapolis and KDKA in Pittsburgh, so perhaps Bell is mulling another return to replace Grayson's show, although I seriously doubt that Bell would appeal to Grayson's audience. Time will tell.
