According to the Utah Radio Chat Facebook group, the Nightside Project on KSL will continue only as a podcast and is slated to be replaced on-air by an all new show. The Nightside Project's Facebook page confirms that Thursday's show was their final on-air broadcast. So let the speculation begin as to what the replacement for the 7:00 PM-Midnight time slot on KSL radio will be!

I guess I am behind the curve in tracking changes at KSL. I looked just now at KSL's schedule on their website and saw that The Browsers was gone and replaced with the JayMac News Show. When did that happen?
Never mind. I did research and found out it was January.

Yes, Amy Iverson left the show about six months ago, so now it's just Jay McFarland hosting the show formerly known as The Browsers solo.

Some other recent changes to the KSL radio schedule courtesy of the Utah Radio Chat Facebook page: Scott Seeger is no longer at KSL. His bio pages have already been removed from KSL's web site. Also, the former time slot for the Nightside Project (7:00-12:00 PM weekdays) has been filled by Your Voice, Your Vote 2016 with Drew Steele. I'm hoping that show will be replaced with something more interesting after the election in November. I don't know how anyone can stand to listen to five hours of political talk each weeknight, but I suppose KSL figures that the audience for radio isn't going to be very big due to weeknight TV viewing from 7-12. Looks like some big changes are in the works at Broadcast House!

You're correct in that radio listening after PM drive drops sharply. The election is probably the biggest thing in talk radio right now so that seems as good a bet as any until November, and guys like Limbaugh and Hannity have been milking that cow for decades so there's a track record.

I enjoyed listening to Ethan and Alex because they discussed a variety of subjects, not just politics. I'll miss hearing them on the radio. I don't know about anyone else on the board, but as for me I've had it with the political talk cow being milked dry, and anyone who doesn't know the outcome of the 2016 election by now hasn't been paying attention. I finally bought an HD radio and a couple of cheap shortwave radios so I could listen to something other than the typical Hannity/Limbaugh crap. CBC Radio 1 on 690 AM also airs some interesting non-political programming overnight, and the signal booms in like a local after sundown. Viva la difference!
