Within the past few hours, a brand new pirate radio station has sprung up on 99.9 broadcasting the worst music I have heard. Its vulgar (language wise), and obscene (song content), and on top of that, the station must be putting out around 50 watts since I heard it from my home base in Millcreek all the way to downtown.
Anyone know what this is or if there is any way I can file a complaint with the FCC. This is clearly an illegal broadcaster.
Also, the reason I figured this out was it was hammering the crap out of my super low power station on the same frequency. Usually I get out 1/4 of a mile, but not tonight.
It had to of started this evening since I went shopping around 5 and didn't hear it. 99.9 is a frequency I monitor all the time and I've never heard this one before.

I was on the west side of the valley today and heard nothing on 99.9 except my very low power car transmitter. If you want to file a complaint, you can do it online at esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm?sid=d1e640&id=d1e697 Unless the pirate is caught in the act, they really won't be able to do much. And it definitely sounds like a pirate. The only legitimate broadcaster that could be heard over that wide an area is the new location for KLZX and they wouldn't be running THAT.
