The FCC approved Fox's request to keep KSTU-DT on Ch 28 even after analog Ch 13 is turned off. That will make the entire market UHF after Feb 17 next year, according to the FCC. (I guess the outlying areas don't count.)

There will be two, low-power DTV stations in the VHF High Band.
Channel 26 (3ABN) will go on 8, from their Foothill Drive location. Channel 51, Telemundo Ogden, moves to channel 10, broadcasting from Little Farnsworth Peak.
A regular VHF+UHF antenna is still a good idea. And, it gives you FM radio reception, too.

You're right. That was a reference to a comment made by the FCC in the ruling.
There are other stations in the area that will be on VHF as well. KCBU Price will either be on 11 or flash cut and stay on 3. KUTA-LP up near Logan will be on 8. KUTF near Logan will be flash cutting on 12. I think that covers everyone.

KCBU has a CP to do DT on channel 11, but also has an application in, to move the whole thing to Salem Peak, east of Payson. That looks like it would give them a direct shot in to SLC, but would likely require another place to point your VHF-HB antenna (now, we have 8, 10, and 11 ). Time to get in to the antenna rotor biz.
