;D I've had a Ramsey FM-25B that I've been kicking around since about 2006, and I fired her up on 107.1 with an antenna on my roof. Those of you who live near Granite High School should hear it pretty good . I am not trying to break any laws by doing this, I am simply providing a new commercial free radio station. My power is too low to get anywhere but my small neighborhood. I don' t make any money off of it, and I assert that it is part 15. My coverage is pretty poor to the north but elsewhere I get out halfway decent. My power is only 20 milliwatts (I believe). The antenna was purchased online and is made for FM transmissions like mine. Again, its MILOFM 107.1 Millcreek. Have a listen any time you're near 39th and 7th. Its a lot of variety and the programming comes straight from my computer.

KEGH doesn't even have their CP to move to 107.1 yet, so you should be good for a while.
Any reason you chose that frequency?

Radio-Locator told me it was a good choice for a free frequency. I used to be on 99.9, but that one day that 98.7 messed it up was the end.
I also think something is up with 99.9 like a station coming soon or so.
Tomorrow I am going to adjust my antenna to see if I can get to the north a little better, as it may have fallen down due to the wind a couple of days ago.
Right now I get about a quarter of a mile (with good signal), which I think is pretty darn good.

A quarter mile is pretty good.
One other thing you might try is to tune it to 87.7 Most radios can tune that, and there's nothing anywhere near the Wasatch (at least licensed) on that frequency. That could help you get out a little father before getting squished by co/adjacent channel interference.
Yes, there is a 99.9 coming, but that's well to the north. KLZX in the Logan market is moving there from 95.9 at some point. Then KMGR is moving from Delta to Humpy Peak to become a rimshot on 95.9

KEGH doesn't even have their CP to move to 107.1 yet, so you should be good for a while. Any reason you chose that frequency? So the Eagle is going or is trying to move to 107.1? Will that be a full market signal for them or just a better rimshot? I always thought Cody & crew would do so much better ratings-wise on a bigger stick.

I might consider 87.7, since my tx can go that low. 107.1 gets so much interference from another country station (I don't think its 106.9) farther out and it just sounds like mud. That would also make it a lot easier for me to adjust my antenna. Thanks for the idea, and hope some of you can listen some time when your passing by lol!

Backtracking for a moment. The current KEGH is 106.9 licensed to Brigham City and transmitting from just northwest of Tremonton. It will be moving to Humpy Peak on 107.1 and have the same technical parameters as The Eagle's current main home on 101.5 which is KEGA. Obviously there will be a format change.
The 107.1 interference you're hearing I'm guessing is K296AF out of Heber. They translate KSOP-FM, per the latest filing with the FCC. I don't think you'd hear KKAT-FM 2 channels over.

Okay, I tried putting my tx at 87.7 but it doesn't go that low. The lowest it allows me to set the freq and transmit at full power is 88.1 and that is out of the question. Hence I am back on 99.9 and surprisingly, I've noticed a significant improvement in range. I now get a few more blocks then I did before. Its cool.

good. Now that you're back on 99.9, you might want to take a listen to the stinger I posted at havingfunradio.awardspace.com/ It's really an MP3 but the website won't allow MP3 files, so you might have to rename it. There are a few other channels that should work ok in SLC. The other good one is 93.7 99.1 is probably ok too, until KUDE moves.
