KCPW's AM 1010 signal is back to simulcasting FM 88.3/105.3, probably pending the sale. Nothing has been filed yet for the transfer. I wonder how long it will be before there's an LMA. Have they said anything on air about gaining then losing the 1010 signal? Any statements about the ill-fated BBC experiment?

And they changed again. Better choice this time, IMHO. They're simulcasting KPCW 91.9, the little co-owned (for now) community station from Park City
I'm not sure if this is standard practice, but I heard what sounded too much like commercials on the station. Both had what sounded to me like a call to action. That's against the rules. An regular listeners here?

I don't hear KPCW regularly, but whenever I've driven through Summit County I've noticed their "commercials". They've been doing that for years. They've always pushed the boundaries. I don't think that the FCC cares.
By the way, I'm hearing the BBC again on 1010 this morning.

I noticed the BBC back again too. Maybe they're trying to please as many people as possible for as long a it lasts by switching every so often? Ingenious if that's it.

I suspect a lot of it is still related to the technical difficulties KCPW faces while still tied to Park City.
For now, the station will try to purchase its own satellite dish and the library graciously agreed to place it on their roof. This should help.
I'm guessing that feeds in Park City are getting crossed since KCPW-AM is not under an LMA to Wasatch Public Media. In fact, it is no longer listed in the logo on their site.
At some point IHR will take over - then, Utah will have Catholic AM radio just like Idaho is getting.
