All Access is reporting that Todd Nuke'em is out as PD at X96. www.allaccess.com/net-news/archive/story/100237/todd-nuke-em-moves-on-from-kxrkAccording to the post, Sean Demery is acting PD for the station. From what I know about Demery, he's mainly done morning shows across the country (Seattle/Atlanta) - wasn't aware that he was even in SLC or working for for Simmons (unless of course, that's what brough him to town). The big question I have (and I think I know the answer) is: Did Todd leave on his own?

OH MY GOD! This is terribly depressing news. Hopefully there's an airshift for him "on the beach" at our friends KCQN Utah.

I'm not too concern about Todd than I am about his beloved lackey Corey Gregor. Who is going to protect him? I'm scared for him. How is he going to get his unusual high amount of remotes, concert tickets, days off, 311 fly-aways, and extra perks? Who is going to cover for Corey when he voice-tracks his show to leave the building to catch a movie or go out to eat or shop? The true tragedy is that we might loose Corey because we lost Todd. Darn it to heck!

Wow - jacobswestcoast is obviously NOT a fan of Corey O'Brian.

Gosh... I'm just worried about people losing their jobs that's all! To be honest with you, with the loss of Todd Noker, I'm ALSO worried about the career of Alternative Rock - Singer, Songwriter, Musician Brogan Kelby! What the fetch is going to happen? PS- I'm a big fan..... check Brogan out: www.brogankelby.com/

The obvious vagueness and curtness of the statement out of Simmons leads me to believe that he was fired. If he had left on his own, I think the statement would have been a little more flowery and praising - with possible details about his next venture (unless of course, he is going across the street somewhere to work).

I don't think I've ever seen any specifics about the future plans of anyone from the company they left. There's no reason to do that whether it's a competitor or not. It's always vague. If there is a specific place they're going it's usually a press release by the new employer or from the person themselves.

I get your point, but read pretty much anything that Bonneville/DMC puts out - always positive of service etc... Read Sue Kelley's - sure, it didn't say where she was going, but it was very positive. There is a difference in how some companies announce the departure of employees - both voluntary and forced. My point was simply that Todd's departure was clearly not a pleasant experience.

And bam! There's this from All Access: Todd Nuke'EM Joins KENZ's Jimmy Chunga On Thursday Morning (http://www.allaccess.com/net-news/archive/story/100940/todd-nuke-em-joins-kenz-s-jimmy-chunga-on-thursday).
Is this is a one time deal, or a daily thing? KENZ would be smart to grab him - but with KENZ's poor ratings, does Cumulus have the money to do it.... without pushing someone else out.

Right now the article you mentioned specifically says he's a guest. I hope Cumulus realizes that they are going to have to shell out some money to revitalize underperforming properties around the country. Citadel was cash-strapped for years and that took its toll.

You're probably right on the guest thing, however, seems strange to issue a press release about it. My guess, is that Todd sent the info to All Access, maybe to mess with Simmons a bit.
Based on what I've seen Cumulus doing what seems to be their current plan of action, looks like it's more cutting than building. I'd actually be surprised to see KENZ in it's current state last past March or April, if that.
