It's being widely reported that the Cumulus stations are being added to Clear Channel's iheartradio service. (Locally that's K-Bull, Z-Rock, B 98.7, K-Bear, The End, K-Fan, Big Talker and whatever they call KJQS these days.) What impact do you think that will have on the stations?

Personally, I think it's a good move. Citadel/Cumulus has always had pretty poor technology when it came to websites/streaming/phone apps. I think Cumulus is just owning up to the fact that iHeartRadio is just a better place to direct people for streaming.
As for a merger, I can't see them doing it. Too big, too many market conflicts. SLC is prime example - they'd have to off-load half the stations if combined.

I agree the overlap with both the original Cumulus stations and the ex-Citadel stations and Clear Channel is just too much. I'd be surprised if CC wasn't already at the cap in most large markets.
