I was watching KUTV 2.2 ThisTV last night and caught the last part of an ad stating there were some changes coming. It had a MyNetworkTV logo. Anyone aware of any updates? I enjoy a lot of the movies on ThisTV (especially the Stargate SG-1 episodes on Sunday) so I hope there isn't too many changes.
I checked the KSCG site and it no longer had the MyNetworkTV logo. I know they were also an affiliate of RTV. I just wish they would broadcast over-the-air in the Salt Lake City metro area so we could get RTV up here where the bulk of the population lives.
Thanks for responding.

I can't find any information about that, so that's a bit puzzling. MyNet stopped being an actual network a while ago, so 2.2 could plug the MyNet shows in over the thisTV feed similarly to how they add RSL games. The released program schedule for KCSG still shows MyNet programming through the end of next week, so we'll see what happens after that. I'm monitoring 2.2 now to see if I catch that ad you mentioned.

MyNetwork TV is such a null point in Seattle-Tacoma that the station KMYQ is being rebranded KZJO-TV "JOEtv" and completely chainging their prime-time lineup. www.joeswall.com/

I don't think MyNet is really on anyone's radar anymore.
Meanwhile ThisTV is gone. There's only one stream running on KUTV now (the classic 2.1 one). If you were going to change affiliations wouldn't you just change what the second stream was running?

So I saw the ads a few more times on 2.2. September 20th is the change over date. I was also reading a report about Utah State football being shown on the WAC Sports Network. www.wacsports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=10100&ATCLID=204993956It had three Utah TV stations listed including KUSG. It noted that it was currently a This TV affiliate but was switching to MyNetworkTV. So my next question, are they sticking with This TV for the non-MNTV hours?

The listings I've checked still show KCSG with the MyNet stuff and This still on 2.2 in primetime. Probably not updated yet. I did see something interesting on 2.2 this past Monday though. It was around 1PM I think and there was a news brief called "2News on KUSG" or something like that. It was all focused on southern Utah news and weather and was running during a break on This. I thought it was interesting that the whole thing was run on the Salt Lake station, but I guess that's just more evidence that there's only one feed for both. Southern Utah gets a lot of Salt Lake centric news, so I guess this is only fair.

Here we are on the 20th and changes are indeed afoot at KUTV 2.2/KUSG. Talkin' Sports expands to 7 days a week with the weekday edition debuting right now on 2.2. This is following a simulcast of 2.1's 10PM news. 2.2 is also IDing as "My Utah" with the My in the MyNet font. My digital box is saying the next program is "TMS program information for" so I have no idea what the heck that's supposed to be. Hmm. Time to do some digging. *dig* *dig* *dig* Ah. Success. Both the 2.1 and 2.2 schedules are on their website. connect2utah.com/2news-community/tv-scheduleThere will still be some This programming during the week, but not a lot. This still has most of the weekends, including the Sunday Stargate off-net reruns, so that's good. Weekdays are starting to look a lot like the independent stations of years past. Even Jerry Springer is back. (He's still doing that crap?) Where was he last seen? I seem to recall he was on KPNZ before it went belly up and got sold and went Spanish. Anyway, there you go.

The cool thing is, I can watch 2.2 up here on cable in digital because someone left the digital switch ON on our "analog" cable, and with my parent's HD TV, it receives it.

Some of those shows are already on KJZZ. Is KUTV covering them when they go on 2.2?

Ok so the Price is Right airs 9 to 10am then repeats again at 2 to 3pm on KUTV 2 Dr.Phil and Oprah 3 to 5pm block on KUTV the it repeats on 2.2 from 5 to 7pm That's just plain lazy programming there. Why not put a Retro hour on with Hogans Heroes or I dream of Jeannie or M*A*S*H or something why repeat Price is Right?
I guess what's sad is THIS TV was a nice alternative movie channel without all the reality/talk/crime/Judge shows. Not everyone has cable and or sat tv so THIS TV gave them a movie channel even if the shows had older dates. Now if Four Points wanted to start a 2.3 and put on My Network mixed in with all the reality/talk/crime/Judge shows and the newer shows from the My network I could see that but taking down good old movies for Oprah and Jerry Springer Yuck!!!!

TPiR is rerunning in the afternoon? The schedule says otherwise, but "Deal or No Deal" was on just a little while ago and it was supposed to be "Don't Forget the Lyrics". So maybe things are in flux? Deal seems to be a MyNet show. I admit I'm really confused.

Maybe I was a little unclear. The KUTV - CBS - 2 schedule shows TPiR is on at 9 am then again at 2pm unless the afternoon one is re-runs of yesteryear
9:00A 10:00A The Price is Right (N) The Price is Right (N) The Price is Right (N) The Price is Right (N) The Price is Right (N)
2:00P 3:00p The Price is Right Mon (N) The Price is Right Tues (N) The Price is Right Weds(N) The Price is Right Thurs (N) The Price is Right Friday(N)

The KUTV - CBS - 2 schedule shows TPiR is on at 9 am then again at 2pm unless the afternoon one is re-runs of yesteryear I can't speak for certain, but the second T.P.I.R. slot is where "As the World Turns" was airing. Since Les Moonves canned that for his wife to have her own show 'The Talk' there is a need for filler. Affiliates are receiving a second airing of 'The Price is Right' in the short interim - I'm not sure when the new program begins.

That was my bad Pete. I thought you were using the short form of "2.2" in your comment and didn't check on it, since that idea is just too crazy to be true. Yeah I know, there's no such thing as Too Crazy.
SF is right though. That's the hole created by the cancellation of "As the World Turns" and is just filler. TPiR is filling the hole this week; next week it's "Let's Make a Deal"; then it's back to TPiR again. I t looks like they're alternating until the new We're-Not-The-View show will be debuting.
You can't blame the ATWT cancellation on Les wanting to give wifey a show though. It was canceled last year and the decision about what would replace it wasn't made until this summer. There was some influence there I'm sure, but it wasn't a 1 to 1 correspondence.
You're watching CBS, with more music and Les Moonves........
