Heard and saw that KODJ has changed its name to "Oldies 94.1" and has updated their website to reflect the change: www.kodj.com/main.htmlQuestion (since I'm no longer in the area), does KODJ still have Harmon and the Breakfast Club? I recall listening to that show every Wednesday morning as a ritual for nearly a year on my way to work. Would be sad if they all lost their jobs and the station became like its sister stations...

I think it would be more accurate to say KODJ went back to the "Oldies 94.1" positioning. That's what they were doing 10+ years ago. They've been moving more and more toward being a classic hits station rather than oldies, so this is interesting. Even the True Oldies Channel (which was founded to fight this) ended up giving up and copying the same 60s/70s oldies that everyone else does. So my question is, does this mean a future shift in the playlist or are they just doing something silly? The current playlist is still pretty heavy on the 80's. (And congrats on MILO getting his new CP )

Since I can't find it on their new website, I'm assuming the morning show is gone, but I bet I'm wrong. I hate to see people get let go for any reason, especially format changes, but such is the way of radio.
What I like are small town radio stations that never change, but thats because I am a lazy website editor. And yes, MILOFM is now up and operating at full in its new location.

well that's odd and very lazy!! If anyone has i heart radio they are using the format from The Big Classic Hits and using there personalities. I gave it a listen online today and noticed the lady jockette saying you can get hold of me by going to i heart radio. So is everyone gone or is the i heart radio gig just temp until it goes oldies? Too me oldies are 50's 60's not 80's but the 80's are now oldies Things that make you go Hmmmm... DSPete

Wasn't KODJ doing good in the ratings? The real old stuff was for KDYL anyway. I was fine with the split but 80s are definitely not oldies. If you're going to play oldies, call yourself oldies, if not, call it another Hot AC station.

Looking at 12+, KODJ was at a 4.7 in April, then 4.1 in May and 4.0 in June. Even with the slip (and I don't have the numbers further back to see if April was an anomaly) a 4 is a good share.

At least it wasn't MUCH of a switch, but I still don't see why they had to torpedo a good morning show. Granted, I liked the Bee's morning show too (most simply because I know Todd and Erin and they are the nicest people). KODJ's morning show was just a ritual every Wednesday morning for me. Its gone now!
