Does anyone (Ken?) know what non-public services the various Salt Lake stations are using? For example, I think that KJZZ used to sell some of their bandwidth to the now defunct USDTV service. I'm wondering how much extra space for other channels is available.

I didn't see anything unusual when I scanned most of the stations this week. Everybody is just, basically, doing TV. KSL 5-3 has the hidden audio for KSFI.

Last time I checked, only about 5 of the local stations were using translators. So, I guess they figure that it's easier to ignore them, than to explain to the average listener that it does NOT mean we're "translating" the music in to Spanish.
( I wonder what people in the rural areas listen to?)
