Alright. It's been a while since we did trivia. It's time again. This one is going to be a little different. This is Really Hard Trivia. This trivia is so obscure that even Google doesn't seem to have it. Psyched yet? Good. Since this is so difficult, the standard trivia rules don't apply. First one to figure it out gets the credit. Cheating is allowed (and may be necessary ) Guesses can be posted in this thread. If you want to PM me for some reason, go ahead and do it. It won't surprise me much if nobody gets this, so make me eat my words. The topic is TV Theme Lyrics These lyrics are from a very short lived show that aired in the 80's. Name that show. Hard to be a nice guy when your reputation's bad Bein' good at good must drive you absolutely mad Tryin' hard to change the mess your life is in Workin' extra hard to be a model citizen But we know you can make it with some warm and tender love You might even get some help from someone up above They say that nice guys come in last We don't believe it's true 'Cause Mr. Nice Guy We believe in you We believe in you

It's been a week and it doesn't look like anyone will get it, so the answer is THE TORTELLI'S

Wow, from back when TV networks gave shows time to find an audience. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_TortellisSorry, I'm still bitter about how CBC canceled jPod and is now poorly programming "Being Erica" to possibly end up with a similar fate.

That was Brandon Tartikoff's reign at NBC. The man was a genius. There was a man who knew how to program a network. A perfect example is how he stuck with Cheers even when it was doing terribly in the ratings. he knew it was a great show. It just needed to find an audience. Eventually it did and became a top 10 show for years.
The Tortellis was just a misstep though. Comic relief sidekicks are rarely strong enough to carry a whole show. NBC repeated the mistake with the ill-father Friends spinoff Joey. Just didn't work. Have there been many shows like that that actually worked?
