Nice article from BBC Sky magazine, about tuning in to Meteor Scatter from the current Perseid Meteor Shower (and others). You just need to find a couple of locally vacant FM channels, so you can hear something broadcasting from a few hundred miles away. www.skyatnightmagazine.com/advice/how-hear-meteors-fm-radioYou might also find something (a beacon) that transmits on the 6-meter ham band (around 50 MHz) from a bit of a distance. If you have friends "over the horizon" from the metro area's tightly-packed FM band, pass this along. Too bad the Gamma Ray project at Delta went away...that would be a good, quiet area.
