We've got two rock stations in Salt Lake and neither does particularly well most of the time. They both have their moments, but I wouldn't call either a solid performer. Looking specifically at KBER, I wonder if it's too hard. If it were me, I'd back off on the metal and try to make it a more mainstream rock station.
(P.S. Going forward the plan is to do these Mondays and Thursdays except for holidays.)

I agree with you, CA. I like my metal when I am in the mood, but I am never in that mood when I am driving. And the DJs just act too juvenile.
I am assuming that you have 106.7 as the other rock station. Is 103.5 still too classic hit orientated for you to class it as a rock station?

My thinking is yes The Arrow is a classic hits station and the only other rock station is 106.7. There's a definite rock element on Arrow and maybe I should rethink that position. That's what it started out as and where the name came from (All Rock & Roll Oldies - ARRO.) Bonneville hasn't changed their format listing with Nielsen though.
It's interesting the you mentioned juvenile. I was going to say to leave the metal to student run stations, but there are hardly any left in the area. The only two I can think of now are Pleasant Grove High School's KPGR and Orem High's KOHS and that's a shame.
