Hello folks, Now that 1490 KOGN is off air, I was trying to see what else I could hear in the jumble, and I got two possible hits I want you to hear: www.ubstudios.com/personal/unknown1490.wavThis was towards the 7:00 pm hour. I hear "AM 1490 KEVR or DVR or BBR" or something to that effect. I couldn't tell you the format on this one as it happened to hop out of the soup toward the end of my recording. I looped it twice and the second time has the amplitude taken down. The file below came before this one above. www.ubstudios.com/personal/unknown1490(2).wavThe story on this one was I went out to get Subway this evening and I heard that oldies song "Downtown" playing, followed by what you hear above. He says "Your memories are all here AM 1490 K???". After this they played Chiquitita by Abba, and later down the line Johnny Mathis - Misty. I swear I hear KTFU or DFU or something that ends in a U. Checking the FCC, I can't find what this could possibly be. --Note: These clips were recorded on my home radio while I was out with an Olympus digital recorder and were cleaned up with Cool Edit using the restore clipped audio feature.-- Any help on these would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to rack my brain all night wondering that they are as I already have been. Once I know what they are, I'll add them to my site. Thanks ahead of time.

Okay, I racked my brain for a few hours and found out the top 1490 to be KDBM Dillon, MT. I had to clean up the audio a bunch of times, but I started hearing it. The man even says "Dillon" right after the ID.
The second file is still up in the air. It was either a nostalgia format or oldies on 1490. I can't hear it as easy as the others.

I couldn't make much out of either file, but I had a wacky thought. Is there any possibility that KOGN was actually on air with flea power and that's what you heard? Very unlikely I admit, but it's possible. If we could figure out where a playlist for the sat format they used to run is, at least that possibility could be ruled out.
'Fraid I'm not much help here. Sorry.

Only a person in Ogden could tell if KOGN was still on. Thats what I thought too, originally, that it was KOGN. What I hear in the file though isn't KOGN. Glad I found out what the first one is though. It was bugging me for two nights.
