Unlimited budget no strings attached ... I would buy 570 and acquire the KLUB call letters from whoever has them now and put a true adult standards format on it. I'd have Mark and Gayle Van Wagoner on in the morning, Danny Kramer in the afternoon, all three hours of Classic Radio Theater with Wyatt Cox from 7 to 10, and When Radio Was with Gregg Bell from 10 to 11. On weekends I'd have syndicated shows like Dick Robinson's American Standards by the Sea, Sounds of Sinatra, Big Band Jump, etc. I'd also upgrade the signal to 50,000 wats during the day and as strong as I could at night. I would buy 1320, put it back to the full power it was before Cumulus sold it, acquire the KCPX call letters from the group in Moab that had it, and call it Real Oldies 1320 KCPX. It would be similar to the online station that Ralph Carlson had after he sold 1060 to the Chinese folks. J.C. Hackett would be my feature personality. The music would be 50s, yes I said 50s, 60s, and early 70s. Weekends would feature syndicated show like That Thing with Rich Appel, reruns of Dick Clark's Rock Roll and Remember etc. I would get 101.9 and put KCPX on its HD2 and KLUB on its HD3. On its main signal, progressive talk. I think I'd call it K-Chat and maybe bring back the call letters KACP that 570 had for a minute. One oh one nine K Chat, Utah's Progressive talk. It would be edgy controversial talk like KCNR was right before Radio Disney took over. All the talk hosts would be live and local at least through the day and actually take calls from listeners. My sister would kill me if I didn't give her a Smooth Jazz station. Maybe I'd just put the Breeze back on 97.9. I'd put 910 back on the air and move ESPN to it so it would be ESPN 910 and 700 would become CBS Sports Radio 700, your home of Jim Rome. 630 would be back with the KTKK call letters but we would call it 630 the Ticket. None of my stations would have meaningless call letters that are only said once rapidly at the top of the hour. The stations' brands would coincide with their call letters.
