I doubt many people are thinking about Daylight Saving (note there is no S at the end of Saving) Time at this time of year, but it's something to consider before deciding whether you're for or against year-round DST. I suggest looking around and noticing the amount of daylight there is at 7:15 or 7:30AM and imaging that the time was 8:15 or 8:30 instead and whether that's something that you want for the months of December and January going forward. It would make for an interesting discussion.

I just wish the entire world would pick one time or another and stick with it the entire year. It was such a pain when the U.S. would switch our clocks and the U.K., where the former parent organization of my internet radio station was based, wouldn't yet, or vice versa. Normally, they're 7 hours ahead of us, but, for two or three weeks, they'd either be 6 or 8 hours ahead of us and it was a pain in the … If the clock switch is done away with, I hope it's nationwide and in Canada, because that will be a bear trying to coordinate who needs to change the times of their shows dtc. etc.

So what you're suggesting would be sun from 7AM-10PM in July, for example? There might be something there, but that has absolutely no chance of happening. Some people are complaining because they don't want to change their clocks twice a year. Changing them four times a year is not going to happen. And as I mentioned, the correct term is Daylight Saving Time. I just wish the entire world would pick one time or another and stick with it the entire year. It was such a pain when the U.S. would switch our clocks and the U.K., where the former parent organization of my internet radio station was based, wouldn't yet, or vice versa. Yes, it's a bit of a pain. However, spending 15 minutes twice a year to have a more optimal distribution of sunlight spanning 4 months (or more) seems like a more than reasonable sacrifice for most of us. I also realize that in your particular case it probably doesn't matter to you.
